….Our work experience has finally come to an end, and what an end. What with Moll and i teaching our very own lesson, to having to get the vet rush out to check on Henry. It was very intense.

I will start at the beginning, Amy came down today and she did the yard and mucked out and fed the ponies. So Mollie and i had the whole day to decide on lesson plans and to find out what we needed to know to become a riding instructor. It was very interesting. We also wrote out information about all the horses and ponies on the yard. Stuff like name, age, height etc… It was really good, i left loads of spaces but then Kate got all the passports out and we had a laugh at the ponies show names. For example Tiskys’ show name is actually Frisky Tisky. How weired is that.

Mollie’s lesson was really good. It was a christmas lesson, where they played christmas corners and it was fabby. We even listened to christmas song. Untill unfortunatly Lucy and Daisy (the ponies) had obviously had an argument (about Mac probably) so they ended up fighting in the lesson and a rider fell off! But they got a big bar of chocolate so i think she was fine after.

So Henry gave us all a big fright tonight. He started rolling on the yard! And so we had to call the vet in. We thought he might have surgical colic, but fortunately he doesn’t so that is a big relief. He should be back to his old self tomorrow.

i also taught a lesson today, i was really nervous about teaching them but i think/hope i did ok!

Anyway, yard again tomorrow, and also we will all be very hyper as it is Bobyn’s  birthday party tomorrow which will be awesome.

Thanks very much for reading my blogs. I hope you have enjoyed them as much i i enjoyed writing them. I wonder if i can do work experience again next week…… Watch this space.

Halleuhah…..

…..Today as a treat we watched Freya playing in a school played called ‘It’s a baby’ it was really goood and Freya was awesome. We also took Tolly to the vet hospital in Glasgow, we went in the horse lorry and guess what….! It didn’t break down. It was a good journey for us, but poor Tolly didn’t travel very well, it was like a sauna. She couldn’t have her surgery today, so hopefully they will operate tomorrow.

The rest of the day was good, we fed the big horses but the ponies where no were to be seen. Never mind they will have found some grass ‘hopefully’

Unfortunatly tomorrow is our last day of work experience so that means no more of our fabulous blogs. Rather upsetting. And tomorrow Amy is coming down to do the yard, so Me and Moll are going to watch her doing the feeds and mucking out to see how she does things.

So bloggers, I am off at the moment, more fun thrilled blogging tomorrow.

Wow……

….Today after feeding the ponies and horses quickly as Jane was coming to ride at 9! Mollie and i watched the vet (from a far distance i might add..) do a nerve block on Tolly. A nerve block is were the vet injects into were they think the damage is done with an anasthestic and about ten miniutes later they trot up the pony and see if the pony or horse is still lame. They injected into the Coffin joint which is in in between the pedle bone and the cannon. That was so complictaded that you probable wont want to read the rest of mine….’sniff’ thats fine! So unfortunatly Tolly has to go to Glasgow vet school, so we have a trip to Glasgow which should be awesome.

After the vet had been, Moll and i started working like crazy people to get the boxes mucked out, she did Holli and i did her water, I did Benjii and i got mine finished before Moll had finished Fudges’ Haaaha. We did hay and water and then we went for lunch.

After lunch we did Misty and Bobby and then we had to tack up SO fast, we were a bit late. Ooops. Our lesson was really good, we did jumping. It was great.

The vet came again today in the afternoon to do Bobby. i got to see Bobby’s nose! I saw the guteral pouch and a red blood vessel. It was so cool, and kinda weird too.

None of the ponies or horses wanted their seconded dinner, so Moll and i finished sorta earlier.

Well that’s all for today folk, i will write about what happened tomorrow, tomorrow!

Yaaaay….

…..Pleased to say that Good Golly Miss Hollie is back and is still as fabulous as ever. Mollie and i started fast this morning feeding horses and ponies, with our new feed sheets that Shaun made up for us we were faster than ever. We then turned them all out again and started slowly walking back to the yard. We then started mucking out, and then we got the news that Hollie was ready to come home. Me and Mollie started mucking out super quick and got hay, filled water buckets (with the help of Shaun).

The best part of the day was getting to see the vet hospital and understanding what they did to Hollie and why. The worst part of the day was finding out that Mollie had hay in her underkrackers….It was disturbing.(Read Mollie’s blog if confusion is a problem)

Tomorrow should be interesting, the vet is coming to see Tolly and Bobby. I will tell you how much i learnt tomorrow. Well i am off to bed, earlier start to the day again tomorrow!=D

Yaaaaawn……

….. An early start this morning, but it was all worth it. First of all Moll and i had feeding to doo. Which didn’t take as long as i was expecting, of course Shaun help with it, because otherwise me and Moll would have taken aaages…. It was a quick start getting the Horses and ponies in fast, feeding them and then slowly me and Mollie started to turn them out. The hard part was remembering all the feeds, especially Baileys’ feed.

We then had our own lesson, which i have to add was a lot harder than the staff lesson… But it was also very good and interesting. We then had a long break, where we had our lunch and watched Canter Banter which was actually very funny. It was then the 4:30 lesson we had ponies and horses to feed again and we couldn’t get Penny and Bambi through the thick mud, they wouldn’t go. So it took us a bit longer to turn out….

The 6:30 and the 7:30 was cancelled so we got home a little bit earlier. I was tired today so i think it will be an earlier night tonight.
